ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Bloomberg billionaires index that thanks to growth of ByteDance's market value and company's success in the field of artificial intelligence, Zhang Yiming's fortune reached $92.8 billion.
Having surpassed Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, he not only rose to second place in the region, but also consolidated his status as the richest man in China. For comparison, when Bloomberg began tracking his fortune in March 2019, it was $13 billion (a rise of over 7-fold).
