Remaining committed to its tradition of actively supporting initiatives aimed at the social protection and well-being of the families of martyrs and war veterans, TuranBank has implemented another meaningful social responsibility project on the occasion of “1 June – International Children’s Day.”

Within the framework of the “Legacy – Let’s Preserve Our Heritage” project organized by the “Volunteer DOST” program of the DOST Agency, the Bank provided financial support for a trip for children of martyrs to the Ismayilli region and the city of Shamakhi. The main objective of the project was to keep the children of martyrs in the spotlight, contribute to their social care, and familiarize them with Azerbaijan’s rich cultural, historical, and spiritual heritage, while strengthening their sense of national identity and belonging.

As part of the trip, participants first visited the Ismayilli “DOST House” branch, where they took part in masterclasses on painting, artistic carving, and carpet weaving. Later, a special workshop on the traditional art of kelaghayi-making was organized for the children at the Basgal State Historical and Cultural Reserve. The participants also visited several historical and cultural sites in the region and had the opportunity to closely experience examples reflecting Azerbaijan’s national and spiritual values.

Children who successfully completed the workshops were presented with a special motivational “Legacy Passport.”

The project also included an infotour to the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory. During the visit, the children received detailed information about astronomy, space research, and the observatory’s activities. At the end of the program, various holiday gifts were presented to the children.

It should be noted that within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, TuranBank continuously supports socially vulnerable groups. The Bank will continue implementing projects dedicated to the families of martyrs and to children — the future of our nation — bringing smiles to their faces.
