Banks returned over 70 million manats of VAT to consumers in four months

May 7, Fineko/abc.az. For Jan-Apr 2026, the amount of VAT returned to consumers by authorized banks in the country reached 70.45 million manats.

ABC.AZ reports that the amount of VAT refunded from the State Budget to foreign citizens for goods purchased for personal consumption within the "tax free" system totaled 2.76 million manats.

Over Jan–Apr 2025, this figure exceeded 55.97 million manats.

In addition, within the VAT Refund Project, more than 10.74 million manats of VAT paid for non-cash purchases of residential and non-residential premises from persons engaged in the construction of buildings were refunded to individuals.
