April 27, Fineko/abc.az. Russian citizens can pay for goods and services in Turkey in rubles via the Fast Paymet System (SBP), with funds converting to Turkish lira, using their bank's application.
The service was launched in the tourist areas of the country, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
Points where payment is accepted in rubles using the SBP can be found using an interactive map from Turinvoice. Currently, it displays more than 800 locations in Antalya, more than 240 in Istanbul, and over 80 on the Aegean coast.
According to ATOR, the number of such outlets in Turkey is increasing by 150 per month. SBP payments are accepted in shops, cafes, pharmacies, and souvenir shops. You can use the service to pay for SPA, excursions, transfers and other services. The amount for the buyer in the app is immediately displayed in rubles. The actual exchange rate for payment is 1.9 rubles per lira, ATOR reported.
