April 22, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Turkey has decided not to change the key rate, keeping it at 37%.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the regulator’s statement made following the meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee.
"The Monetary Policy Committee has decided to keep the discount rate, the weekly repo auction rate, at 37%," the Bank says.
The Central Bank indicated that "the underlying inflation trend decreased in March", but "indicators indicate a slight increase in the underlying trend in April".
"Energy prices remain high and extremely volatile due to the uncertainty caused by geopolitical events. The impact of these events on domestic energy prices and inflation rates is under close monitoring <...>," the report says.
