April 1, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, in the period from March 20 to March 30, the volume of insured damage exceeded 6 million manats due to above-normal precipitation and adverse weather conditions, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan.

A total of 4,576 insurance claims on non-life insurance types were received by 8 insurance companies.

Of them, 3,636 ones relate to compulsory civil liability insurance for owners of motor vehicles, 651 ones relate to CASCO insurance (motor vehicle insurance), 210 ones relate to compulsory real estate insurance, and 80 relate to property insurance against fire and other risks.

For 4,045 insured events, the assessment of which has already been completed, the expected damage amount is 6,057,025 manats. For the remaining 531 cases, the damage calculation process is still ongoing.

Currently, the insurance claims settlement and clarification of the amount of damage are being conducted for all received applications. Appropriate compensation payments are provided for each insured event.

According to preliminary estimates, after the assessment of all cases is completed, the total amount of damage is expected to reach about 10 million manats.

77% of applications to insurance companies were registered in Baku, the capital, and 23% in other regions, especially in the northern part of the country.
