March 10, Fineko/abc.az. Creation of a single blacklist database and a centralized incident and reporting system is planned in Azerbaijan in order to combat fraud in banking and payment systems, ABC.AZ reports quoting Zakir Nuriyev, the president of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan (ABA).

He added that as part of a pilot project implemented by the ABA in cooperation with the Central Bank, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, banks have ensured the prompt transfer of citizens' complaints related to fraud, as well as introduced a mechanism to immediately stop suspicious transactions.

Nuriyev noted that this approach allows avoiding risks in the sector at early stage and minimize losses.
