February 12, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, SOCAR carried out 66,000 m of drilling operations. The fields developed by the company independently or as the main shareholder produced 7.1 million tons of oil and 7.8 bcm of gas.

ABC.AZ informs that acording to SOCAR, company's natural gas extraction grew by 1.4% versus 2024.

Nationwide, gas extraction increased by 2.1% compared with 2024 up to 51.5 bcm. Overall oil production in Azerbaijan reached 27.7 million tons.

SOCAR exported 16.1 million tons of oil to foreign markets. This indicator includes both company's own production and the share of profits of Azerbaijan and SOCAR from oil produced by international consortia operating in the country.

Country's natural gas exports totaled 25.2 bcm, while domestic consumption - 13.2 bcm. Amid an increase in the share of renewable energy sources in electricity generation, domestic gas consumption decreased by 3.1%.

In 2025, SOCAR processed more than 6.2 million tons of oil and over 3 bcm of gas. Oil refining volumes grew by 7.2% compared with 2024. In addition, 2.2 million tons of petroleum, petrochemical and gas chemical products produced at SOCAR enterprises in Azerbaijan were exported.
