Last year, European tourists spent 190 million manats in Azerbaijan

February 12, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, approximately 86,000 tourists from European Union countries arrived in Azerbaijan. European tourists’ expenses in the country amounted to about 190 million manats. Compared with 2024, the number of tourists increased by around 9% and the volume of expenses by 6%.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the average cost per tourist from the EU amounted to roughly 2,209 manats.

There were 22,000 tourists from Germany, expenses amounted to 43 million manats, and the average cost per tourist was 1,980 manats.

The list of EU countries, from which tourists visited Azerbaijan and their costs:

From Italy: 14,000 tourists, expenses - 28 million manats, average expenses per tourist - 2,007 manats.

From Poland: 10,000 tourists, expenses - 17 million manats, average expenses per tourist - 1,712 manats.

From France: 7,000 tourists, expenses - 13 million manats, average expenses per tourist - 1,856 manats.

From the Netherlands: 7,000 tourists, expenses - 13 million manats, average expenses per tourist - 1,819 manats.

From Spain: 6,000 tourists, expenses - 13 million manats, average expenses per tourist - 2,048 manats.

From Austria: 3,000 tourists, expenses - 5 million manats, average expenses per tourist - 1,873 manats;

From Bulgaria: 2,000 tourists, expenses - 4 million manats, average expenses per tourist — 1,714 manats.

From Romania: 3,000 tourists, expenses - 6 million manats, average expenses per tourist — 1,815 manats.

From Sweden: 2,000 tourists, expenses - 4 million manats, average expenses per tourist — 1,857 manats.

From Switzerland: 2,000 tourists, expenses - 4 million manats, average expenses per tourist — 1,811 manats.

Compared with 2024, the number of tourists increased by about 13%.
