EBRD allocates €75 million to Ukraine for restoration of hydroelectric power plants

January 8, Fineko/abc.az. The EBRD has given a €75 million loan to Kiev for modernization and restoration of hydroelectric power plants.

ABC.AZ informs that the funds were allocated under an agreement with state-owned company Ukrhydroenergo.

In addition, Ukraine will receive a grant of €20 million to support the sustainable operation of hydroelectric power plants under martial law. The money will be used to replace damaged equipment, modernize facilities and create an emergency response mechanism to stabilize the energy system.
