Oil price goes up, Brent - $60.29 a barrel

January 8, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are rising in Thursday’s trading  after a drop for two consecutive sessions.

The price of Brent crude futures for March at the ICE Futures exchange increased by $0.33 (0.55%) to $60.29 per barrel by 09:25. Following the trading on January 7, March’s Brent crude futures fell by $0.74 (1.22%) to $59.96 per barrel.

The price of February’s WTI crude oil futures at the NYMEX commodity exchange rose by $0.32 (0.57%) to $56.31 per barrel by 09:25. Following the trading on January 7, WTI oil futures for February declined in price by $1.14 (2.00%), to $55.99 per barrel.

The oil market continues to monitor the situation around Venezuela and assess the balance of supply and demand.
