December 30, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are increasing in Tuesday's trading.
The price of Brent crude futures for March at the ICE Futures exchange grew by $0.10 (0.16%) up to $61.59 per barrel by 09:31. Following the trading on December 29, March’s Brent crude futures rose by $1.25 (2.08%) up to $61.49 per barrel.
The price of February’s WTI crude oil futures at the NYMEX commodity exchange increased by $0.10 (0.17%) up to $58.18 per barrel by 09:31. Following the trading on December 29, WTI crude oil futures for February observed growth in price by $1.34 (2.36%), up to $58.08 per barrel.
Commercial oil reserves in the U.S. last week rose by 405,000 barrels up to 424.8 million barrels, according to a report by the country's Ministry of Energy. According to Trading Economics, analysts had forecast a drop of 2.4 million barrels on average.
Gasoline inventories grew by 2.86 million barrels in the week ending December 19, and distillates by 202,000 barrels. Analysts expected an increase in gasoline stocks by 1.1 million barrels and distillates by about 400,000 barrels.
