December 26, Fineko/abc.az. As of the end of November of this year, the number of transactions in Azerbaijan with use of American Express cards reached 5,400, and the volume of transactions - 700,000 manats.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that compared with Jan-Nov 2024, the number of transactions on American Express cards decreased by 979,200 (99.5%) and the volume of transactions by 25.4 million manats (97.3%).

The number of transactions with American Express cards issued by non-resident financial institutions reached 1.5 million and the volume of transactions - 800,000 manats.

The volume and number of transactions on payment cards issued by resident financial institutions relate to the overall volume and number of transactions conducted with use of payment cards issued by local banks and financial institutions operating in the country.
