December 26, Fineko/abc.az. As of the end of November, the number of transactions with MasterCard payment cards (also payment cards by statistical unit) issued in Azerbaijan by resident financial institutions reached 70.7 million transactions for totally 4.5 billion manats.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that compared with Jan-Nov 2024, the number of transactions increased by 5.1 million or 13%, and the amount of transactions decreased by 93,000 manats or 2%.

At the same time, the number of MasterCard card transactions issued by non-resident financial organizations reached 509,000, and the amount was 50.7 million manats.

Transactions on residents' cards include all transactions carried out with the use of cards issued by banks and financial organizations operating in Azerbaijan. On the other hand, transactions on non-resident cards are transactions carried out on the territory of a country with the use of cards issued by foreign financial institutions.
