December 25, Fineko/abc.az. Nvidia acquires the assets of startup Groq, which develops AI chips, for approx. $20 bn in cash.

ABC.AZ reports, citing CNBC, that the deal was the largest purchase in company's history.

At the same time, Groq is not sold entirely: Nvidia licenses logical output technologies and integrates low-latency Groq processors into architecture NVIDIA AI Factory, while the startup will continue to operate as an independent company.

Previously, Nvidia's largest acquisition was considered to be the purchase of Mellanox in 2019 for almost $7 bn.
