November 19, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan will switch from Data Warehouse to Data Lake.

ABC.AZ reports that Elmir Hasanli, Head of the CBA's Data Operations & Analytics Department, said this at the IX International Banking Forum in Baku.

According to Hasanli, the CBA is introducing a number of new technologies: "As the most important of them, I would like to mention the transition of the Central Bank to a new visualization tool. This visualization tool has two main advantages. First, the reports have a more interactive look. On the other hand, now every user can use this tool. That is, in order to receive and compile any reports, they do not contact the data department created in the organization, or its analysts. You can make reports yourself."

The CBA representative added that the organization has already switched to a risk-based control system: "As part of this, one of the main tasks is to collect data from the structures that we control in the form of "data points", and not just reports, aggregated reports. This will allow us to use more advanced analytical tools in the future. We are already collecting data in real time. They are implemented using API tools."
