November 19, Fineko/abc.az. One of the main trends of 2026 will be the introduction of OpenBanking model.

ABC.AZ reports that Jalal Orujov, a member of board at PASHA Bank OJSC, stated this today at the IX International Banking Forum in Baku.

He pointed out that this process will lead to increased transparency both in the regulatory activities of the Central Bank and in the financial sector: "The introduction of OpenBanking will create new challenges in the banking sector. One of the key issues for banks will be the integration of this model into day-to-day operations and the formation of a revenue mechanism from it."

Orujev emphasized that for fintech companies, OpenBanking opens up new opportunities that have been expected for a long time: "The main question facing the sector is how effectively these opportunities will be used and how quickly new services will be brought to market."
