5.2 bn manats to be allocated for education and science next year

November 19, Fineko/abc.az. Allocation of 5.2 bn manats for national priorities - education and science is planned in 2026 (658 million manats or 14.3% more versus 2024). In the medium-term budget period, spending on education and science next year will increase by 36% compared with 2022).

Finance Minister Sahil Babayev said this during the discussion of the Draft Law on State Budget 2026 at today’s Milli Majlis plenary session.

The minister noted that next year the number of students enrolled by state order and training at the expense of the state will reach 150,000 people, and the number of scholarship recipients - 121,000 people. Next year, 42 million manats are provided for the cost of tuition and scholarships for 18,500 students from privileged categories - people with disabilities, children deprived of parental care, families of martyrs and persons with war veteran status.
