October 21, Fineko/abc.az. Kazakhstan will have a national Wi-Fi operator that will provide secure Internet access in socially significant facilities.
ABC.AZ informs that such plans were reported at a government meeting. Access points will appear at border posts, airports, railway and bus stations, as well as in schools and medical institutions.
At the first stage, the project will cover 400 locations in 10 cities. By 2026, it is planned to expand the network to 10,000 access points, and by 2027 to 20,000.
Earlier it was reported that according to forecasts, the growth of Internet traffic consumption in Kazakhstan in 2025 will double compared to 2024.
