October 2, Fineko/abc.az. Optimization of the mechanisms for issuing construction and operation permits in Azerbaijan is one of the main priorities.

ABC.AZ informs that Vusal Shikhaliyev, head of the sector of the Department of Economic Policy & Industrial Affairs of the Presidential Administration, made this statement at the event "The current situation in connection with the time and costs required to obtain construction and operation permits, and the possibilities for their optimization".

According to Shikhaliyev, important work has been done in this area both to improve legislation and to create electronic systems: "Public hearings in the format of a public-business dialogue with the active participation of the private sector are important in terms of applying existing opportunities, implementing legislation and resolving issues arising in the process of administrative regulation."

Shikhaliyev added that the number of stages in the processes of issuing permits for construction and operation, timing of their implementation and cost transparency are among the main priorities: "Relevant arguments can be formulated based on recommendations and analyses presented by business representatives. Cost transparency, as well as increased availability and optimization are among the main challenges facing us."
