September 10, Fineko/abc.az. In recent years, repeated violations have been observed in audit objects.
According to ABC.AZ, Vusal Guliyev, an official at the Chamber of Accounts, stated that in 2022, 13 audit activities conducted by the Chamber concerned the same object at least for the third time. This number increased to 14 in 2023 and 19 in 2024. He emphasized that repeated violations by the same personnel are a serious signal for public financial management and may undermine public trust.
Guliyev noted that preventing recurrence requires new approaches. He suggested that HR audits, strategic planning practices, training combined with audits, and strengthening the advisory function could be effective. Additionally, implementing an operational plan and assigning risk status could enhance transparency and accountability in organizations and enable timely prevention of defects. “These approaches will allow future audits to produce more effective results,” he concluded.
