August 28, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan may supply gas to other countries through the Arab Gas Pipeline or other swap operations. According to ABC.AZ, President Ilham Aliyev stated this in an interview with the Saudi TV channel Al Arabiya.

“Undoubtedly, access to the Middle East with our natural resources is a first experience for us. We believe that we can increase gas supplies to Syria, as well as supply it to other countries through the Arab Gas Pipeline or through other swap operations. We are also engaged in energy trading. We not only sell oil and gas but also act as international traders. Our potential is much greater than one can imagine. From this point of view, I think this is an important factor,” the head of state emphasized.

According to him, Azerbaijan’s relations with Middle Eastern countries, mainly the Gulf states, are very good – friendly and results-oriented: “We have very strong partnerships with these countries. By the way, the main investors in our renewable energy sector are companies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia. They are our key investors. Now they are making the investments.”
