July 30, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey will start supplying natural gas to Syria on August 2, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar.

Gas from Azerbaijan will flow to the Syrian province of Aleppo through the southern Turkish province of Kilis. As part of the gas exchange agreement with Azerbaijan, the resources will be used to generate electricity at existing Syrian power plants, Reuters writes.

In addition, Qatar will participate in the supplies in terms of financing the project.
