The new flight will strengthen bilateral relations and facilitate family and business contacts.
There are also opportunities for the development of trade and tourism between the province of East Azerbaijan (Iran) and the Republic of Azerbaijan. Business exchanges, tourist flow and the creation of new jobs in the aviation sector are expected to increase.
The simplification of travel will contribute to the deepening of cultural, scientific and university ties between the two regions.
Shahid Medani Airport authorities have announced plans to add new international destinations in the near future, aiming to turn Tabriz into an air transport hub in northwestern Iran. The possibility of increasing the frequency of flights to Baku and opening routes to other cities in the region is being considered.
The next flight to Baku departs from Tabriz on July 31 at 09:40. Tickets are available on the websites of Iran Air and AZAL.
