July 28, Fineko/abc.az. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, following talks with Donald Trump, promised to abandon oil and gas from the Russian Federation in order to reduce U.S. duties from 30% to 15%.

ABC.AZ reports that as part of negotiations in Scotland, an agreement was reached to purchase liquefied natural gas and fuel from the U.S. for $750 billion over three years. Currently, "too many" Russian hydrocarbons are still entering the EU, and Europe wants to completely abandon Russian fuel by 2027, von der Leyen said.

In addition to fuel, the deal covers the automotive, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical industries. The rate will be zero for some products (for example, aircraft spare parts).
