July 24, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz consortium and the Government of Uzbekistan have signed an agreement on the distribution of shares in the exploration, development and production of Ustyurt investment blocks.

ABC.AZ was informed at SOCAR that on July 24, 2025, a meeting was held in Tashkent between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf, Uzbek Energy Minister Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov and of Uzbekneftegaz’s Chairman of Board Bahodirjon Sidigov.

Satisfaction was expressed at the meeting with expansion of cooperation between SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz. In particular, the importance of signing an Agreement on the distribution of shares in the exploration, development and production of Ustyurt investment blocks (Boyterak, Terengguduk, Birgori, Kharoy, Gorgalpog and Gulboy) was stressed. The prospects of cooperation between the companies were discussed.
