July 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov will make an official visit to the Czech Republic on July 22.

ABC.AZ reports that within the visit, ways to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries will be discussed.

At the same time, it is planned to review the prospects for expanding mutual relations in the fields of industry and trade.

Last week, a Czech delegation visited Azerbaijan. During bilateral meetings, the parties exchanged views on economic cooperation, development of transport infrastructure, and also discussed common priorities. The existence of significant potential for mutually beneficial and sustainable partnership was emphasized.

The 5th meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic was held on March 3, 2023 in Prague.

According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, two countries’ trade turnover for Jan-Jun 2025 totaled $484.94 million (6.23% less against Jan-Jun 2024). At the same time, exports from Azerbaijan reached $450.76 million (-8.41%), while imports - $34.19 million (+36.69%).

By the end of 2024, the total volume of trade between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic amounted to $1.153 billion (a rise of 50.31% versus the previous year).
