ABC.AZ informs that the new law will regulate the relations that arise between gas supply entities, consumers and government agencies (institutions) engaged in activities in the gas supply sector related to transportation, distribution, storage, sale, import, consumption of natural gas and operation of gas installations, as well as determine the legal, economic and organizational foundations. gas supply.

According to the document, it is planned to establish 8 types of prices (tariffs) in the gas supply sector of Azerbaijan. These prices (tariffs) include wholesale gas tariffs, tariffs for gas transportation, tariffs for gas storage services, tariffs for gas distribution, tariffs for retail sale of gas to consumers, tariffs for services connected to the gas transmission network, tariffs for services connected to the gas distribution network and a fixed tariff.

Wholesale gas tariffs, tariffs for gas transportation, tariffs for gas storage services and tariffs for retail sale of gas to consumers, tariffs for services connected to the gas transmission network, tariffs for services connected to the gas distribution network, fixed tariff prices (tariffs) are established from the date of entry into force of this law, and tariffs for gas distribution - from January 1, 2027 to July 1, 2028, will be regulated by a body (department) determined by the relevant executive authority.

The powers of the regulator will be exercised until July 1, 2028 by a body (department) designated by the relevant executive authority.

The amount and procedure for payment of the regulatory fee will be determined by the body (agency) designated by the relevant executive authority, in consultation with the body (agency) designated by the relevant executive authority, and this amount will be transferred to the account of the body (agency) designated by the relevant executive authority by July 1, 2028.
