July 3, Fineko/abc.az. As of July 1, 2025, there were 1,630,743 taxpayers in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Tax Service, that compared with the data as of July 1, 2024, the number of taxpayers in Azerbaijan grew by 4.8%.

86.9% of taxpayers are individuals and 13.1% - legal entities and other organizations. Over Jan-Jun 2025, the number of private entrepreneurs increased by 4.4%, while the number of companies by 7.7%.

At the end of June, there were 197,038 commercial organizations in the country (8.1% more than a year earlier).

91.7% of registered commercial legal entities are limited liability companies (LLCs), 1.1% are joint-stock companies (JSCs), 1.1% are cooperatives, etc.

In the 1st half of 2025, 6,814 commercial organizations passed state registration, 88.9% of them with local and 11.1% with foreign investments.

85.3% of commercial organizations completed e-registration. The share of e-registration of LLCs with local investments was 96.6%.
