July 2, Fineko/abc.az. As of May 31, 2025, the current loan portfolio of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Azerbaijan is estimated at 991 million euros.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the EBRD that 38% of the portfolio accounts for the private sector.

At the same time, 34 projects are currently active.

Compared to April 30, 2025, the portfolio volume decreased by 1.3%, or 13 million euros.

According to the EBRD, the bulk of the current portfolio - 89% (886 million euros) - is aimed at developing sustainable infrastructure, 6% (55 million euros) accounts for the corporate sector and another 5% (50 million euros) for financial institutions.

In total, the EBRD has invested more than 3.783 billion euros in Azerbaijan for 198 projects. The cumulative payments of the bank amounted to 3.132 billion euros.

In 2024, the EBRD gave loans to finance eight projects in Azerbaijan for totally 199 million euros, which is 27.56% (43 million euros) more than a year earlier.
