June 23, Fineko/abc.az. Bitcoin fell on Monday, remaining under pressure after a sharp weekend of losses, as U.S.’ strikes on Iran's nuclear infrastructure increased fears about further escalation of conflict in the Middle East.
ABC.AZ reports that bitcoin fell 1.3% to $101,501.8 by 10:35 a.m. on Baku time, dropping to a low of $99,000 on Sunday. The losses over the weekend caused the world's largest cryptocurrency to break out of the trading range of $103,000 to $108,000 seen throughout most of June, although it managed to stay at $100,000.
Broader cryptocurrency prices have also declined as traders mostly switched to the dollar as a safe haven.
