May 30, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has begun work on restoring gas supply in the liberated districts of the country.
ABC.AZ informs that Sarkhan Babashov, first deputy head of SOCAR's Gas Export Department, made this statement at a meeting of the working group on energy supply in Khankendi.
According to Babashov, the work stipulates the phased implementation of infrastructure projects in four main areas: construction of Goradiz-Lachin gas pipeline and gas distribution stations on its branches in Jabrayil, Minjivan, Gubadli and Lachin; laying of gas pipeline Boyuk Byakhmianli–Shusha, branches of Gayali (Hadrut) gas pipeline separating from it and the construction of the relevant gas distribution station; construction of Azadgaragoyunlu-Aghdam gas pipeline with the relevant gas distribution station in Aghdam; reconstruction of Yevlakh–Nakhchivan section (33-46 km) and construction of a new Aghdam-Kalbajar line with a gas distribution station in Kalbajar.
Babashov stressed that those projects play a key role in delivering gas to settlements and developing the infrastructure of the region.
