May 30, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is numbering more than 5,000 companies with Turkish capital, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgun.

He added that trade turnover and mutual investments between the two countries are growing every year: "Projects in such spheres as energy, transport, construction, agriculture, defense industry and technologies create a common platform for development of both countries."

The diplomat stressed that relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are not limited to strategic partnership, but are also based on deep historical, cultural and fraternal ties: "More than 25,000 Turkish citizens living in Azerbaijan make an important contribution to development of trade relations between the two countries. Nearly 100,000 Azerbaijanis are living in Turkey, whose role in strengthening economic cooperation is also invaluable."
