Oil reserves in U.S. unexpectedly reduced by 2.8 million barrels

May 30, Fineko/abc.az. Commercial oil reserves in the U.S. lowered by 2.795 million barrels last week.

ABC.AZ informs, that this is stated in the weekly report of the Ministry of Energy.

Analysts on average predicted an increase of 600,000 barrels, according to Trading Economics.

Inventories of gasoline in the week ending May 23 declined by 2.441 million barrels, distillates - by 724,000 barrels.

Experts expected a reduction in gasoline stocks by 500,000 barrels and an increase in distillate stocks of 700,000 barrels.

Meanwhile, reserves at the terminal in Cushing, where oil traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) is stored, increased by 75,000 barrels. A week earlier, the indicator dropped by 457,000 barrels.
