May 30, Fineko/abc.az. Telegram placed five-year bonds worth $1.7 billion at 9% per annum, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Pavel Durov.

More than $950 million of this amount will be directed for exchange of securities with redemption in 2026, and another $745 million for new financing. The initial volume of the deal was $1.5 billion, but it was increased because of high demand.

According to Durov, investor interest was "phenomenal". Now the company has enough funds to fully pay for the previous issue, and its financial position remains ‘excellent’," he added.
