May 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan has resumed the issue of government securities.

ABC.AZ informs, quoting the director of the Agency for Public Debt & Financial Obligations Management under the Ministry of Finance Azer Mursagulov, as saying this at the Financial Investment Forum in Baku.

He noted that the Ministry has not re-entered the bond market since the beginning of the year. According to Mursagulov, the holding of deposit auctions is, in fact, due to the availability of excess and available funds in the budget. In such a situation, it would be impractical to raise funds from the market.

"However, I want to emphasize that in the near future we will return to the market and start issuing government securities again," Mursagulov emphasized.
