May 5, Fineko/abc.az. After the introduction of compulsory health insurance, population's access to medical services has increased throughout the country.

ABC.AZ informs that chairman of board of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance Zaur Aliyev said this at the international conference "Pharmaceutical Industry of Azerbaijan: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow" in Baku.

He noted that currently medicines, anesthesia and others used during outpatient medical services are reimbursed as part of the package of services: "At the first stage, prescription medicines for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and then respiratory diseases are expected to be reimbursed as part of medical insurance."
