April 29, Fineko/abc.az. Fitch Ratings updated its base forecast for the average price of natural gas in Europe for 2025-2028, Apa reports citing Fitch’s base forecast.

The price of natural gas in Europe, based on the TTF index (Netherlands' "Title Transfer Facility" - Europe's largest virtual trading hub), is expected to be: $12 per 1,000 cubic feet (28.3168 cubic meters) in 2025, $8 in 2026, $7 in 2027, and $7 in 2028 (no changes in forecasts).

The report also notes that in 2024, the price of gas in Europe, based on the TTF index, is $11 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Note that since December 31, 2020, Azerbaijan started to transport its gas to Europe via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
