April 16, Fineko/abc.az. Since the beginning of 2025, the Russian ruble has strengthened against the dollar by 38% in over-the-counter trading, becoming the most profitable currency in the world due to the weakening of the US dollar amid new US duties, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Bloomberg.

Unlike many other emerging market currencies, the ruble is not under pressure due to capital outflows caused by global investors withdrawing from riskier assets.
