On April 7, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey has taken a decision to halt temporarily the export of lemons from April 8, ABC.AZ reports wiht reference to the Turkish Ministry of Trade.

The decision was made because of sharp cold snap and "to maintain a balance of supply and demand in the domestic market", according to the Ministry. They explained that frosts have been recorded in the provinces of Mersin, Adana and Hatay in the south of the country, which may negatively affect the citrus harvest.

The Ministry added that, if necessary, the decision to suspend the export of lemons can be canceled.
