March 13, Fineko/abc.az. Natural gas production in the country for Jan-Feb 2025 fell by 1.22% to 8.1 bcm.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Energy that 2.2 bcm of gas accounted for Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, 4.3 bcm for Shah Deniz, 300 million cu m for Absheron field, and 1.3 bcm for SOCAR.

Gas sales abroad totaled 3.8 bcm (7.3%, or 0.3% less versus Jan-Feb 2024, including 1.9 bcm sold to Europe (a drop of 9.52%), 1.4 bcm to Turkey (a drop of 16.7%), 500 million cu m to Georgia. 900 million cu m of gas were transported via TANAP (a rise of 12.5%).

Since the commissioning of fields Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shah Deniz until March 1, 2025, nearly 653.5 million tons of oil (together with condensate) and 473.1 bcm of gas have been produced. Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli produced 604.2 million tons of oil and 232 bcm of gas, while Shah Deniz produced about 49.3 million tons of condensate and 241.1 bcm of gas. Of them, 651.5 million tons of oil and 172.8 bcm of gas were exported.
