January 13, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, China reduced oil imports, while increased imports of natural gas, ABC.AZ informs, referring to Chinese General Administration of Customs.

Thus, China imported 553.415 million tons of oil. The decrease was 1.9%. The purchase cost $324.798 billion. The indicator dropped by 3.9% against 2023. Also, in December 2024, China imported 47.84 million tons of oil for $25.42 billion.

Natural gas imports in 2024 were recorded at 131.69 million tons, a rise of 9.9%. In December, the country imported 11.55 million tons of natural gas.

Coal was supplied to China in the amount of 542.69 million tons. The volume increased by 14.4%. In December alone , the country imported 52.34 million tons of coal.
