When announcing the financial results of Baku International Trade Sea Port CJSC for 2023, a decrease in revenues compared with the previous year and a significant increase in expenses was noted. As a result, the net profit of the state-owned company was 39% lower than a year earlier.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the audit report made by PwC in the Port of Baku.
Thus, in the report, the audit company says that the revenues of the Port of Baku in 2023 amounted to 49.23 million manats (1.8% less than in 2022 - 50.14 million manats).
Salaries and staff costs of the state-owned company grew by 16.1% year-on-year, increasing from 14.87 million manats to 17.26 million manats for 2023.
Thus, in 2023, the company received 6.06 million manats of net profit (39.1% less versus 2022 - 9.96 million manats.
