Tea exports from Azerbaijan grew, while selling price decreased

November 22, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 10 months Azerbaiajn exported 623 tons of tea for $5.484 million (for Jan-Oct 2023 - 586 tons of tea for $5.34 million)..

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee that country’s tea exports increased by $144,300 or 2.7% in value terms and by 37 tons in quantitative terms (by 6.2%) against Jan-Oct 2023.

For Jan-Oct 2024, the average export price of 1 kg of tea exported by Azerbaijan reached 14.97 manats (Jan-Oct 2023: 15.48 manats). This means a decrease of 0.51 manats or 3.3% year-on-year.

This year, tea accounted for 0.02% of total exports, and the non-oil sector - around 0.20%.
