November 19, Fineko/abc.az. Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways of India, announced the launch of the commercial sea route from Chennai to Vladivostok.
ABC.AZ informs that according to the minister, container ships with crude oil, metal and textiles have already begun to enter Indian ports.
He added that this route significantly reduces the time needed to transport goods between the ports of India and Russia. Currently, the delivery of goods from India to the Far East via Europe takes more than 40 days. Along the Eastern Sea Corridor, this will take 16 days less - only 24 days, which will ensure "faster and more efficient trade communication".
