Azerbaijan’s districts that consume most of all natural gas – List

October 25, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, the population of Azerbaijan consumed 4 bcm of natural gas.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that after the population of Baku (1.5 bcm), the area consuming the most natural gas is Absheron. The total population of the district used 298.1 million cu m of natural gas. 142.7 million cu m of natural gas was used by the population of Ganja, 134.6 million cu m by the population of Sumgayit.

Shamkir district took 5th place with an indicator of 84.7 million cu m, and Lankaran district – 6th with an indicator of 80.8 million cu m.

Last year, the disrticts with the lowest consumption of natural gas were Yardimli (4.1 million cu m), Dashkesan (5.2 million cu m) and Khizi (5.8 million cu m).
