October 24, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, the financial portfolio of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) amounted to $43 billion.

ABC.AZ reports that IFC sustainable finance specialist Leyla Huseynli said this at Baku conference "Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Microfinance".

She added that $14 billion of this amount is directed to sustainable green finance, and $15 billion for sustainable development and climate projects.

"As an IFC, we cooperate with the Central Bank in several areas. In the near future, IFC plans to create new mechanisms regulating and supporting the construction sector. This will be the result of a memorandum signed with the State Committee for Urban Planning & Architecture. A roadmap for the construction of green buildings will be prepared and presented in Azerbaijan. It is expected that it will be presented before COP29," Huseynli said.
