September 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Agriculture has prepared program "Strategy for the development of agriculture in Azerbaijan".

ABC.AZ reports that  Firidun Tagiyev, the head of the MoA Department of Land Use Control, says that the Strategy defines a number of goals: "Among other things, the application of new approaches to water and land issues will be taken as a basis."

He added that the new approach means rapid transition to a modern system: "In fact, we’ve started to apply new approaches. Thus, in the decision of the Council on Agricultural Subsidies for 2025, support for a managed irrigation system has been strengthened. Next year, a field protective strip will be planted by May 31, for each hectare of which at least 1,500 seedlings will be planted, and a planting subsidy of 1,000 manats will be provided. This means that we’ve started to apply resource-saving approaches."
