September 27, Fineko/abc.az. The export of dairy products from Russia to Azerbaijan may increase 2-2.5-fold in the coming years.
ABC.AZ reports, referring to Agroexport center’ data following roundtable on the theme "The potential for increasing the supply of dairy products", held in Baku as part of the business mission of Russian exporting companies.
According to the center, in 2023, Russia supplied 17,000 tons of dairy products to Azerbaijan. At that, according to the estimates of companies engaged in such supplies, there are all prerequisites for increasing this volume 2-2.5-fold in the next two years.
In addition, Russian companies are ready to partner with Azerbaijan in providing the raw material base of the dairy, confectionery industry, as well as HoReCa segment.
In 2019-2023, the supply of dairy products from Russia to Azerbaijan grew 1.5-fold, up to $19 million. The basis is fermented milk products - 44%, cheese - 19% and milk powder - 14%.
