September 23, Fineko/abc.az. Türkiye has received the 1st floating production, storage & offloading (FPSO), the operation of which is expected to begin at the Black Sea gas field Sakarya in 2026, ABC.AZ reports, quoting the Turkish Minister of Energy & Natural Resources.
The Turkish FPSO is designed for work on the 2nd stage of Sakarya field. The vessel was purchased by Turkish Petroleum (TPAO) from Norway’s BW Offshore FPSO BW Opportunity and upgraded in Singapore. The length of the vessel is 298.45 m, width - 56 m, height - 58 m. The maximum processing capacity is 10.5 million m3/day.
